Pump is a King Quad...are they rebuildable, or can the diaphragm be cleaned?

You can get a new one for about $40 off Ebay. Airtex E8229 is a direct replacement . You just have to take the old one outta the canister.

No problem...I put the Airtex on mine over a year ago....it was like $35 off Ebay. I found a fuel strainer that work at the the autoparts store for like $20. I will try to find the part # for you. It was a much longer one and works very well.
