Cool How-To; Brute Force 750i & 650i 1", 2", & 3" lift

Well my lift is not done as of yet. But I have people wanting to see the How-To so I thought I would start it.

You will need;
4 3/8" bolts 2" long
4 3/8" bolts 2.5" long
a plate of 1/8" or thicker steel (1/4" and you will not need to bend it, but you will need longer bolts than listed)
8" of 1/2" pipe with the thickest walls you can find.

Bolt holes are 2" apart center to center, you can change this to be anywhere from a 1" to a 3" lift.

So far I only have the lift made for one side of the front. It will be the same on both sides on the front.

I will be done with it by tomorrow night.

I will be happy to hear your feedback and answer any questions you have.

I bent it. It is stainless. It is a little thin, but I used that because it's the thickest stainless I had.

Done!!
Stock with springs turned all the way up & 30s 14" GC front, 15" GC rear.
Lift with springs turned all the way down & 30s 16" GC front, 18" GC rear.

*Note*
It WILL be a P.I.T.A. to install. Set your springs to the softest settings before you pull the shocks off.

rear looks good to me if the thickness of material will hold up. from the pics its hard to see the front setup, But worries me is what is helping hold the plates at that angle? it looks like that the shock could rotate the front plates and they will puncture a tire or begin to rub on the tire. what I would do is put a peice of bar running to another place to hold it rigid.

another problem is it looks like from the pics that the brackets are rubbing the tire. and also looks like the brackets are on backwards. typically with lifts the brackets will move the shock mount up and in instead of up and out.

just a few thoughts I have from looking at the pics. Nice work but I think your going to run into problems with the front. there rear on the other hand looks good.

I'm probably going to brace it to the a-arm. I can't watch videos. My internet is so slow it took me 1 and a half hours to upload all the pics

Ok. My front bowed out first wheelie. I will redo it and post new pics. And I will need spacers. I will work out all my kinks. I knew it wouldn't work but it was my first try. The rear is holding fine.
