is anybody on here sponsored by monster energy drinks? ive been lookin to get sponsored by someone. oh and a nother question, is it hassle if u get sponsored by some one?

Its not easy getting sponsored by and big company, especially monster, also I don't think they sponsor ATV mudding/trail riding.. they MAY if you were into sport bikes, and youd have to be VERY good at it

You really need to be in the race scene for a while, and win a few, before anyone is going to sponsor you. And not to down on the popo but, it's not going to be competitive enough to win on it, honestly.... Not in these sanctioned races anyway, like CMR and HLPSR etc...

Well nevermind then. And I'm use to it. I know the ole Polaris isn't good enough. The popo don't have enough of anything. Bruterider27 will agree. But it does end up turnin into a tow truck.

I wouldnt go that far. The popo is an excellent quad, especially for riding and mudin, it just isnt a race machine, not without extensive work.

Agreed, very very good bike, just hard compete in big races when can ams are in every class

I'm sponsored by a dealership called Argo Powersports.. I get parts AND bikes at cost and a few free parts here and there but that's about the extent of it.. I am currently working on getting some sponsorship from my local dealer where I bought my bike.. He has agreed to do all labor on my bike for free, parts at cost, and help pay for traveling expenses. It's not much but every little bit helps.. Especially when all I have to do is get there name out there, stickers, jersey's etc... Just keep beating the bush and someone will help ya out.. And I have seen a FEW popo's do pretty dang good racing !!! LOL But it ain't all about winning just being part of it have having a blast doing it.. It's HARD to win races against DEEEEEP pockets !!!

Getting sponsored isn't a very easy thing to do. Monster will sponsor ATV Mud Racers...but you don't get much from them cause they really don't have a lot to offer...and Cash is outta the question unless your Ricky Carmichael....lol. Some of my sponsor do give me stuff and some give like 35%-50% off discounts. Some give a budget of how much they will give you. They will say you have $800 a calendar year....so you can get whatever products up to that amount.

Not to sound rude...but you really have to get out and race some before you even try to get any sponsors. Not saying you have to race alot but atleast a few races...because they will want a few pictures and a few race results. I think you would be ok with your bike because since its a 500 you will race in the Bogger Class. Its a single cylinder 500cc-750cc class. You don't have to have the biggest bike in the class to do well. The HLPSR points Champion this past season was on a Polaris 500. The best Race I ran this year was against a 550 Polaris...I had more trouble beating JW Otwell on his HL Polaris 550 than I have any Arctic Cat 700 or Grizzly. One thing in the Bogger Class...the way your bike is set up is the most important thing. Most of the motors are stock in the that class. You will need a set of Crushloks, either some Silverbacks, Outlaws or EDL's., Good Exhaust, Good Clutching.

You can look a what few sponsors I have in my signature...none of them were easy to get...Outta every sponsor you see. I had 10 more tell me No! I just kept chugging along. You also need a good resume. With some pictures, race history, what series your racing and so forth. There are very few that don't ask for a resume...you have to mail it in to them...but you don't get anything back...lol. Like as far as pictures and such.

Are you going to Mud race this year? If so, what series or races are you planning on making?

Now that I don't know. I was at rocks bottom at one of there races and it was a fast pit. I'm goin to start racin after mudnats. I just wanted to see how hard it was. From what y'all have said it sounds like something I want to try.

#10 ·
I encourage anyone to try it that wants too. I noticed in you profile you were 17. Don't forget you will have to have a parent or legal Guardian sign before you will be able to race. The only thing to tell you...it isn't a cheap sport. It's not the most expensive but far from cheap. The only advice I can give is to get in the pit and do your best. Don't be afraid of being rubbed and bumped...cause that is one thing that WILL happen....lol. If your talking about the race just a while back at Rocks Bottom....most pits are a little deeper than that one was. You won't see many that has dry places in them like that one did. Just make sure to get your bike set up for it...or its really not worth it. Good Luck...maybe I'll see ya at the races this year.

I hope so. I know that most pits are deeper than that one but I don't know what racin series it was. I know thy it's allil expensive but it's worth it to try a few times.

#14 ·
You won't be racing any Can-Am's though...The only single cylinder they make is the 400...you will see a few guys race up in the Bogger class but that the only ones.

Well all I need to try a race is clutching. No idea what colors to get yet, but that's all I need. If I like it I'll keep my swamplites for trail and get crushlocked 29.5 outlaws.

" It's HARD to win races against DEEEEEP pockets !!! " that is very true but money cant buy you skills! Back in 97-2000 I had a dirt drag banshee, And your right big money builds big bike's but most of the guys was either affraid of the "bike their daddy bought for them" of or the only time they rode was at the track. So cutting a good light with a backyard built bike could get you a win over a Trinity motor and is a heck of a confidence builder. Be proud of what you got, know your machine and you will be fine.

I agree, alot of it depends on rider skills, and I have seen alot of guys that were scared of their bikes just like you said.. But since I have been mud racing, for about four years now, and have seen some very talented individuals, I have come to the conclusion that in the mud, there is nothing like good ol' horsepower to get wins and the only way to get that is money.. That's why all the manufacturers are having hp wars these days.. I will have to say, it does take alot more talent to run muddacrosses than the straight pit for sure..

I hope i can come up with the money to get the crushlocks next month. I need a schedule for races in mississippi if anybody knows where i can get one.

SMRS (Southern Mud Racing Series) and CMR ( Championship Mud Racing). Both are Southeast racing but cmr does run a few up north.. There is also the highlfter series, but they aren't near as fun as the others IMO, tooooo much BS... I would suggest racing the cmr. Mark Kelley took over this year and it should be an AWSOME year of racing, he is a GREAT guy and knows how mud racing should be, classes, pits, etc... And you will definitely need some crushlocks to be competitive in any class.. Good luck and hope to see ya at the pits soon !!!

The CMR only runs the Swamp Cross...which is the Oval shape pit. The SMRS use to run both....but they are running all Mudda Cross pits this year as well. They are both the same type of pit. Just each series has their own name for it. I will post the Schedule for both series in the racing 101 section in just a few for you.

Good Deal Brute Rider...You will really enjoy it. This may be my last year of it though...tired of the travel and the expense of the traveling. No one around here races.

LOL...Well as of right now I'm done at the end of this season. Going back to the trails. Get to ride more and don't have to drive very far at all. Just have to switch my bike back over to a trail bike. I love racing more...but the closet race is 6 hours if not just a little further. I'm tired of paying for the travel expense by myself and traveling alone sucks....lol. I only make about 4-6 races a year...which is there is only 6-8 in a series...but the traveling so far stinks.
