Thinking of removing the front diff on my 94 bayou klf400.. thing is a tank, it's like riding a tractor. Any thoughts or advise? Runs good just don't need the full time 4x4.

When I had my Yamaha Wolverine I thought the same thing and put one of those warn 424 disconnect kits so I could increase power and agility on the trail. Made very little difference in that aspect and cut it's already limited abilities so much so that I ended-up leaving it engaged most of the time anyway. So in hind sight, it's seems true that people with 2wds want 4wds.. and most people with 4wds are glad and never wish they had 2wds. But it's likely Warn makes a 424 kit for yours if you want to try it...a couple-tthree-hundred bucks though. :)

Right.. what your saying is pretty much what I'm hearing for the most part. Reckon I'll either sell it or keep it for a workhorse. Definitely good for that..
