I’ve been reading these threads for awhile now and love this place but there is a problem I’m having now I can’t find anywhere online

05 brute force just did full top end rebuild and snorkel, quad runs fantastic but any time you hit the brakes it shuts off doesn’t matter if it’s in gear or not it just shuts off when you hit either brake. If anyone can help that’d be awesome.

Only on the 2005 750 is that a sign of a bad buss connector. The application of power to the brake lights interrupts the grounding of the coils through that buss connector. ALL the 2005 750s have them and All have failed at some time. Some that were not repairs correctly have also failed again. This is also a sign of low power to the coils so check that the battery and the charging system are working correctly. Does it do it when you turn the headlights on? If not then its more likely a buss connector issue. Might also want to re-check all the electrical connections that had to come apart when doing the top end. Something may be plugged in the wrong place...although not sure how.

Also was wondering if the wheel speed sensor can affect anything other than speedo and 4x4, I accidentally broke the connector when I pulled motor, didn’t see the booger I’m waiting on replacement but wondering if it’s safe to ride in meantime?

Without it the 4wd won't work as well as the speedometer. That's all...as I remember. :)
