My brother-in-law has a brute just like mine and his belt trip keeps tripping. :zx11pissed: We had to reset it 3 times yesterday!:banghead: What could be causing this ? All info will be helpful! Thanks

mine was doing that you need to take the secondary off and take out one of your shims

how loose is the belt on the pulleys? shims could do the trick

That is a new belt that the kawi shop put on.

i put a new belt on one weekend and it did that jus change the shims and itll stop

I saw your post on hl. Some dude said loose belt but i dont think so. Have u made sure the belt sensor connector from rhe cvt cover is good and tight? If that thing intermittently comes loose just enough then connects (on and off) that will cause it to trip. Just like key on with it unplugged. That will trip it.

so r u having to reset the actual switch on the inside of the cover everytime or just the wiring?

see.. the belt is not the issue. i bet your belt switch circuit is loosing connection/power intermittently. like i said, that will trip it no doubt.
