as we are all looking for power from our brutes, i would like to a good answer on weather to remove the perforated metal plate in the air box just above the carbs. i have read some threads and talked to other brute owners about this and it seems to be a toss up. from what i under stand removing the plate causes a loss of vacuum and the slides on the carbs will chatter. what are you guys seeing.

I took mine out a long time ago. Noticed a little better airflow and no problems. If your machine tends to pop-back through the carbs, better leave it in cause it stops the fire from reaching and damaging the filter. Otherwise...take it out!!!
