2008 brute 750, Riding all day Sunday, couple minutes before the end of the day the fuel injection light was lit, bike as running fine. I let it cool for a couple of minutes then it was gone. Have not had a long ride since but short runs show no sign of this yet. Should I worry:thinking:

When this happened to me the bike was overheating or getting hot. Not sure why it triggers the FI light but it does. Just let it cool and it should go away. Make sure you clean your radiator real well.

Did you get the temp light too?

only after shutting the bike off for 1 minute then turning it back on (re-boot) then both where lit, turned off for about 1/2 hour everything was fine. I was guessing the bike was real close to overheating too.

Has anyoneone had good experience with things like engine ice in these brutes?

I use engine ice, works great. You just have to make sure you get all of the original coolant out or it won't work properly. You can get it at most Kawie dealers.

engine ice is bogus. dont waste your money
I disagree. It's not a solution but it helps. I've seen much less overheating after I changed over.
