Like to add to all my north eastern brothers I would boycott any vendor that is going to the north eastern sports and outdoor show. That show isn't allowing any sales of ar type rifles and accessories . Ruger , smith&wesson , cabelas has removed thereselves as vendors and sponsors
Our show in Pittsburgh is coming up and we will not be attending it because of this.

Maybe living on Canada things are different. We live right next door to you, but don't seem to have your issues when it comes to guns.

I understand if your a target shooter and then handguns are OK IMO, but proper storage is needed. If guns are locked properly, trigger locks, etc... then the kids can't use them. IMO, these weapons should be stored at the range for range use only.

Fully automatic assault rifles or a huge clip.....I just don't get it? I you can't hit a deer, moose, elk, rabbit, hog, etc... with a semi, with a 3-5 round clip....hit the range buddy, your weapon is not the problem.

Try a bow, have some real skill and make it a sport.

To stop some psycho, metally ill or criminal, nothing will work. Guns laws don't do **** all for that.

WE should just ban guns all together. ban freedoms . a GUN is a GUN . just because one looks scary doesnt make it more dangerous . ....

canadas law - 5 round for center fire in semi auto . u know how fun that is at the range........

should be only stored at ranges.......... thats what saying if u want to drink u can only drink at approved bar. u want to drive your 500hp car . u can leave it at the track .

it sounds like your ANTI gun ..... since u said just get a bow for real skill .

i like guns . BUT guess what i dont hunt . i dont think because i own a gun i should go shoot a deer. i like to go to the range ...

100% pro gun my friend, just don't see the need for some, but only a hunter, so to each his own I guess.

Gun control to me is personal gun control. Keep your sh$t secure and make sure your kids, teens, etc... understand how to use them (and let them use them so the curiosity is gone), the responsibility of ownership and keep them out of their hands unless you are there to supervise them. I don't see the point in spending thousand of $$'s on a gun(s), but can't spend $20.00 on a trigger lock or a few hundred $$ on a safe to secure it, so screwed up teenager can get there hands on them.

No law in the world is gonna stop criminals from having them. We can get drugs and they are illegal!, guns would be no different.

Well kmkjr we under stand your in canuckistan it's ok we will not hold that against you. Lol. My firm believe is gun control starts at home. My son is 10 he knows if he gets near 1 of my guns and we're not hunting or at the range. He is going to get his *** torn up. Then let's get on video games. These kids know more about weapons from video games than there parents do. So I'm going to give up my AR so some criminal can have 1. We give up 1 gun they will try to take the rest. Trust me they are trying to take all of them now.

Don't get me started on video games.

Why are kids fat, lazy and spoiled?

Because on a hot summer day instead of ATV'n or playing street hockey, they are locked in thier rooms, trying for 9hrs to get the goblin to the north tower to save the princess and free the hobits from the evil rule of the scorpion king.

But don't have time to take 3mins and take the garbage to the curb for thier mother or walk the dog.

I'm 30 years old and been playing video games since Nintendo first came out. I've always owned 1 or 2 of the most current game consoles but they have never owned my soul. I may get a new game and play 2-3 hours a day for week until I beat it, then put the controller down and not touch it for 2 months. My 18 year old brother is the complete opposite. Can not go 2-3 hours without some kind of game. Drives me freakin nuts. All of his friends are the same. I'll take him riding or shooting or something and he will enjoy it, but the second we get home he walks in the house and starts the stupid gaming. :flames::flames:

Firearms Refresher Course

1. "Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not." ~Thomas Jefferson

2. "Those who trade liberty for security have neither." ~ John Adams

3. Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.

4. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.

5. Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them.

6. Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.

7. You only have the rights you are willing to fight for.

8. Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety.

9. You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.

10. Assault is a behavior, not a device.

11. 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.

12. The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights Reserved.

13. The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others.

14. What part of 'shall not be infringed' do you NOT understand?

15. Guns have only two enemies; rust and politicians.

16. When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.

17. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control. "I love this country. It's the government I'm afraid of."

Was watching Bill Maher last night and it was refreshing to see someone say that proper storage would solve alot of the problems.

Amazing what a $20.00 trigger lock will do when the kids are home alone.

As stated by the other member I also am from canada, and your ban list is almost identical to ours. It looks to be the same one including the wording and age as they are referring to guns that were common place back then like the Calico semi's and the AUG. Ridiculous. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!!

Agreed I don't keep any loaded guns in my house and all my ammo is either in my truck or in a lock box

I dont have children. But I still keep mine locked in a safe incase someone breaks into my house b/c they think they need my stuff more than I do. I do however keep my carry weapon with me all the time, and yes it's loaded, all the time.

I agree w/ locking them up, so dont take this as me saying I dont. BUT, my dad kept at least 1 loaded gun on his night stand all the time. I grew up around it. Did I ever mess with it? HE** NO!

B/C my parents took the time to teach me everything I needed to know about firearms and I never had any reason to go mess w/ his pistol. One b/c I knew if I did they'd have beat the fool out of me for not minding. lol

Once again this all goes back to parents, and responsibility.
