Hi everyone. I'm new to the site. I've got a 2002 Honda Rancher 350 ES 4x4 with 27" 'Zillas, jet kit, k&n filter, and hmf pipe. It's got some pretty serious problems, and I am thinking about reinvesting my money into another bike instead of pouring my money into a money pit. I want a 2011 Rancher 420 sra 4x4 foot shift. I would like some opinions on what tires or other stuff I should get. I don't really want to lift it, but I would love to be able to run 28's. I want either backs/laws/or mambas (I know they're heavy, but I'm hoping someone has experience with them on a 420). I also know that the mambas only come in 27's, 30's, and 32.5's. I simply want opinions on what would be the best setup for a 420 without spending $3000000000000000000000 (I am in college haha). Thank you in advance for your help.
Note: i ride in watery mud mostly, but some pretty thick stuff as well.

I had a 2008 420 on 27" laws. It will fit 28s no problem. A lift will make you get less clearance on the back of a SRA. What is the problem with your rancher? I would take a 350 over a 420 any day of the week.

My 350 is smoking again. I just put rings in it in around the middle of October. It's never been drowned or anything, it's just really old. It's got 8100 miles on it. I'm pretty sure it needs to be bored and whatnot. I think all the wheel bearings need replacing (it's got A LOT of slack in the front end). The clutch is also messed up (it has to rev up really high to actually move). And the brakes need to be fixed again.

Yeah they will turn them. I got a buddy with a 420 sra with a programmer pipe and 2 inch lift and he turns them just fine. Trick is clearing them. I know he had to trim a little plastic.

Eh i dissagree, sometimes ya i can see wherr your coming from, but not having your ankles torn up from brush is a good thing too. Ive seen some 420s with no floorboards at all and they dont look too bad.
