When I bought my Brute the owner lived in Midland/Odessa area and never went mudding in it. So he decided to dril 1 and half inch holes into the airbox. He put 9 holes in it all together. Since I have had it I put a new airbox in it and put snorkels on it. I know its running rich cause it will back fire through the exhaust when I left off the throttle after having it about 3/4 to WOT. Thing will shoot flames out some times about 3-5 inches long. Haha... I know running rich really won't hurt anything but I want to change it. Is there really an thing that can happen when running rich other than fouled plugs? I have the Big Gun full exhaust and moose module. As it sits now what size jets should I look into buying? I just need a rough idea. Thanks for your time.

Do you know if the other person ever rejetted?
Is it only when you let off the gas from wot?
Does it run good from idle to wot?

Gah sorry.. Its a 2005 Brute 750. Yes the owner rejetted it for the "open" airbox. Yes only does it when letting off from 3/4 or WOT.. Letting off from half throttle or less and its ok. Does it even more if I feather the throttle trying to get over/through something. Runs great from idle to WOT. Pulls very good. I like it alot better then my buddies Brute.

if it was running right with the 9-1 1/2" holes in air box, it probably has some big jets in it

I cant really give you a good ideal where to go with it being i have a 650 but I would say drop a couple/few sizes (depending on whats in it) in main jets and set the air/fuel screws to around 2 1/2, the air/fuel adjustment screw will take the popping out on deceleration, may have to adjust the needels, youll just have to play with it. Someone else might give you a better ideal what to run!!!

How or what snorkels did you put on it, the way you did it will make a difference

to get the amount of needed for your current set up you would need about a 5 inch intake:haha: should be some info on here somewhere to get you jet numbers and carb settings

Here is a easy way to look at it....This is the exact thing I was told b a very good Tuner....Aaron Sporna.

1/8-1/4 throttle....is your pilot jet.
1/4-3/4 is your needle
3/4-WOT Main Jet
