sorry, can you explain how/what the actuator does. I am coming from sport quads and am pretty clueless about anything cvt or 4x4. You need to know anything about long travel, rekluse clutches, tireballs, hipers, fasst flexs, or honda 450r motors i could help!!! Thanks
Yep. It removes the drag on the clutch so you'll free up HP at the bottom end where you need it the most. Out of the hole! However you will lose your engine braking under like 6mph and this will vary depending on your clutch setup. But 6mph and above (depending clutch setup) it will have no effect on engine braking.
I wanna do this but was not aware that people were having to buy anything to do this. i had the understanding that you could just pull the fork out or something like that and role with it.
is this Mod only for Prairie's, i see guys on here with brutes but no one ever really made a point of the applications.
and can the KEBC actuator be used for the 4wd to replace the one on the front diff. because my 4wd\2wd actuator went out and if i can do this mod i save the cost of a actuator and free up some HP????????
and stupid question but what does KEBC stand for?
Ive got my clutch apart right now. I like playing in the mud, racing, trail riding should I take my fork out now or not?
07 650 brute and I have a problem in the mud it jumps back in forth to 4x4 to 4x2 is that a actuator problem? help please
Yes. You wire around it when you wire the relay so it's not doing anything and you need to unplug it so there's no signal going to it. My 4x4 works fine with the switch. the display always says 4x4 but mine works based on the position of the switch and I can kinda hear when the actuator on the front diff switches over.
Wish i knew about this web site last week, just spent 90 bucks on drive clutch cover. Bearing went bad where the actuator rides (from water). Just joined yesterday.
