You need to run the bike the with cap OFF.Make sure you keep topping off the radiator and run it till hot so that thermostat opens.

Its O-rings on the t-stat housing, no need in worrying about gaskets

If you take it out, replace it and the gasket too. Not expensive enough to worry about it.

And when ya bleed it, make sure shes flat.....it will air lock on a hill.

squeeze the hoses........... ;) Thats how I use to force some air out of the trucks radiator when replacing it... Squeeze the hoses & the air will bubble out sometimes.

No.

Just bleed it, over and over and if you still have air, take the stat right out. If you still get air, start thinking the worse....head gasket.

Make sure your rad cap is the highest point and machine is level. Let it warm up (not overheat), re-install the cap and then cool completely (overnight if needed) with the rad cap on, if working properly, it will take fluid from the resevior to fill the system. If it does not, you have a blockage (most likely thermostat stuck) or leak (no vacuum to suck fluid from the resevior).

Yep, that's the blockage!!

It's always something simple, that's what makes it hard to find....lol
