They manual has instructions on removal. I wouldn't suggest doing away with the choke completely. Some people say they plugged the choke port with silicon and tried choking it by covering their snork , but, that doesn't work very well. Just take the cable ,choke assem. apart for a good cleaning and lube. There's also replacement spring you can get that's longer ans stiffer than the stock one.
