Do all of you take the axle apart to replace the boot or do you use a stretcher to go over it?

This is more what I was getting at I guess. I have put one on similar to this before.

i take apart.
Gives you the opportunity to clean the join really well in a parts washer then clean with high flash point solvent like carb cleaner.

:haha:Never tried it like that never even imagined that would work . It just popped on there :haha::bigok:if it works let me know . I think you will have to dis. the shaft from the inside boot . little clip inside the inner joint

Take them apart, it's not that hard anyway, and gives you a chance to clean it anyway.
