This is a quick, simple and cheap mod because it costs nothing!

If you look down by the radiator overflow tank you will see 2 connectors attached to the motor casing. the Top one is the Neutral sensor and bottom is the reverse sensor.

Just pull off the reverse sensor (pulls straight off) and tape it up.
Now you have no reverse limiter.

Be careful. You now have full power in reverse.

Watch out, the reverse light no longer works.
I guess the better version is to open the switch and make it permanently connected.

i do! i always look down and once while this was enabled i thought i was going to go forward but nope, i flew backwards. very unexpected.

I haven't tried anything, or even looked at it yet, but I plan on tinkerin' with this saturday. Looking for any more ideas or detail on how to remove limiter but still keep reverse light on cluster when in reverse. I need that light! There's gotta be a simple way around it, my thinkin cap just aint on right now.

yellow wire with black stripe and the brown coco colored one. I spliced into them and ran it to a toggle switch so if i wanted the stock button to act as normal i could or I could override it with the toggle switch.

This is on a 2006 650i so it could be different on the FI models. Dont worry if you cut the wrong wire, I accidentally cut my starter button wire the first time i tried this, reconnected it and no problems to this day.

I'm having second thoughts about this mod. I know it's there to keep you from going 90 in reverse but it seems to me that it will help you not smoke a belt too.
What ya think?

It's very aggravating to have to hold the over ride button and pull the difflock lever while working back and forth in a hole. Plus it's fun to go 90 in reverse :aargh4::rockn:

well i wish i could change the start button and the override button got the old honda in me. Get pissed when it wont start. Till i realize i am pushing the wrong freaking button
