Most people are going to tell you the OEM is best. Although the new Daytco XTX is getting good reviews and is becoming a standard with many racers and mudders. Soon as I toast this OEM I'm going with it. I also have had very good luck with the EPI Extreem Duty. Got 1000 miles out of it. Still have it for a trail backup.

 

dayco xtx. or oem... the only 2 i would choose...as u see in my sig. i have the hl pro series.. it is the same as the xtx

stick with oem ive tryed a bunch of them even the epi extreem didnt last long at all for the $ the others arnt worth it in my mind. just my 2cents ive been thru a few i got almost 3000 miles on my bike and i just like oem 70$ or 120$ for some other CO super duty :thinking: eather way they all hert the wallet.

 

OEM or Dayco XTX....the NEW XTX is NOT the same as the old HPX crap that dayco use to make. The XTX is the same exact belt at HL's 3GX

 

mine dont say hpx it says pro series and it has the same numbers as the 3gx...and was told that it was the same as the 3gx..on this forum ... im not trying to give wrong info on my belt i can just pass on what ive been told so far...

to a question earlier in the year ..its a hl pro series dayco belt. it has the same #'s and packaging as the xtx.(2217).whats makes mine different from the xtx..

 

OEM................... I've tried them all, shredded a hl dayco in two rides, they're junk.. The oem belts hold up better than ANY other belt on these v-twins...And they are the cheapest too compared to the hl crap..

Dayco XTX FTW... I've put mine through the ringer... (I have the HL 3GX, which is just the Dayco XTX with HL's logo on it... has the Dayco part number on the sleeve)... I've pulled a Polaris Ranger that had both front axles broken, all around out where we ride, through some nasty holes... and that Ranger weighs a lot more than the Brute... I didn't slip the belt at all pulling him around.. This belt is NOT the same as the HL Pro Series, or any other aftermarket belt... this one works!

Either go with the XTX or OEM... if you become a Subscribing Member on MIMB, you can pick up the XTX from Mud-Throwers.com for about $90...

 

XTX FTW. or oem bt thats it and the oem would be my second choice. mines been through alot of abuse and i have smoked it a few times and it still pulls like new.
